TITLE Root-MUSIC Based Technique-Direction of Arrival (DoA) Estimation for Ultrasonic Waves Sources |
ABSTRACT In this research, for the direction of arrival (DoA) estimate, a comparison between the classical method, fast Fourier transform (FFT), and the current method, Root-MUSIC (Root-Multiple Signal Classification), is examined. These two techniques are implemented using practical data of a single source and two sources for DoA estimation. Following the realization of DoA estimation, an investigation is conducted to demonstrate the performance of the FFT and Root-MUSIC approaches for DoA estimate. A study of percentage error in angles with different numbers of receiving antenna elements (using a set of ultrasonic transducers) is performed. The experimental results were obtained for a single source and two sources DOA estimation. |
