ABSTRACT

The present article is a quasi-Part II of [12] and examines the relation between the Spectral Density of Excitation to the Spectral Density of response -beyond the analyses of [12]- in the case of the system “Railway Vehicle-Railway Track”. It begins with the Historical Perspective, it includes some principles of Periodic, Non-Periodic Functions, Fourier Series and Probabilities Theory and examines in more detail the relationship between Excitation-Response Spectral Densities and specifically for the case of the Track vertical Defects and the Transfer Function of the Track Recording Car/Vehicle. It is based on the Mathematical Modelling of the Railway System “Vehicle-Track”.
