Abstract: In this paper the second order differential equation of motion is presented for the case of a railway vehicle rolling on a railway track with defects/faults and its solution is presented for the Sprung (Suspended) Masses of the vehicle that act indirectly on the track through the springs and dampers of the vehicle.

Keywords: Static/Dynamic Stiffness Coefficient, Sprung Masses, Unprung Masses, Fourier Transform, Spectral Density, Variance, Standard Deviation, Dynamic Component of Actions.
