PDFAbstract: The energy production of a photovoltaic system is mainly depending on the solar irradiation, (in W/m 2 ), available in the location where it is placed. Based on the solar radiation value, (in Wh/m 2 ) the photovoltaic system can be dimensioned, and estimates can be made of the generated electrical energy. This paper presents aspects regarding the evaluation of solar potential and energy production of photovoltaic systems in Craiova city, Romania.
