TITLE

Adoption Of Greengram Production Technologies By Farmers Of Northern Transition Zone Of Karnataka

ABSTRACT

The present study on adoption of improved production technologies in greengram among farmers of northern transition zone of Karnataka was undertaken during 2022-23. The ex-post facto research design was employed to collect data from 80 farmers growing improved varieties (DGGV-2 and DGG-1) and 40 farmers growing other varieties of greengram. The results on overall adoption of recommended production technologies highlighted that 21.25 per cent of improved variety growers and 17.50 per cent of other variety growers were observed in high adoption category. Whereas in medium adoption category 50.00 per cent of improved variety growers and 35.00 per cent of other variety growers were noticed. But in low adoption large per cent of other variety growers (47.50 %) were observed as compared to 28.75 per cent of improved variety growers
