This paper presents a new type of hydraulic servo-driven system. This device, driven by an electrical stepping motor can be used in the feed chain of heavy machine-tools, such as heavy milling machines. The authors developed in this work a theoretical model of the system, based upon transfer functions. In order to test the dynamic performances, a stability analysis was performed by mean of Bode diagram and root locus diagram.
