Anti Windup PI Regulator Based Modified Power Balance Theory for SAPF Under Unbalanced Grid Voltage Unbalance Non Linear Loads

pdf PDF

ABSTRACT

This paper presents a modified power balance theory for extraction the reference compensating currents to shunt active power filter (SAPF) which is applied to illuminate current harmonics and compensate reactive power under unbalanced voltages and unbalancing Non linear loads. a new method has been proposed based proportional-integrator (PI) controller with windup integral action is presented. the power balance theory is used to establish the suitable current reference signals. the studied is carried out with Matlab/ Simulink and power system tools to verify the performance of the proposed technique. the filtering method of the SAPF is able to achieve the THD% limit specified by the IEEE-519 standard.
