ABSTRACT

A mathematical model proposed in previous studies was analyzed for simulation of an exogenous type microbial depolymerization process. Inverse problems for a molecular factor and a time factor of degradation rate were solved numerically with experimental outcomes before and after cultivation of microbial consortium E1 in a culture media in which polyethylene glycol was the sole carbon source. Values of three parameters were obtained with the Newton-Raphson method and the Gauss-Newton method.
